And so it came - time to say goodbye to the children and begin my journey home. I didn’t expect this parting to be so emotional, but I cried - a lot. So much so, in fact, that as I was leaving the school I walked into the gate, as I couldn’t see where I was going properly, and banged my head! 🤦♀️
After saying goodbye at home we took the bus to Mbarara where Mali picked us up and after eating we met with Pastor Willy, Pastor of Holy Spirit Fire Church, Mbarara. Pastor Willy is the chair of the board for BLI Uganda and we discussed how BLI Uganda could facilitate volunteers/ missionaries to join them in their work in Uganda. It was a very helpful discussion and I have a number of actions to follow up on and a new U.K. missionary contact!
During our meeting we took some refreshments and Ian has his first coffee!!
Tomorrow I will travel to Kampala and onward to the airport with Ian as my escort. I really do not want to leave but I have work to do in the U.K. to develop BLI U.K. so I will continue with that and will return to Uganda as God allows.
Please pray that I will hear and heed God’s guidance as I return home and continue the work.
